- Yesterday was the first productive night I've had in forever. I previously recorded all my vocals for Thru Playing Round Here in stereo, so now I gotta convert all those tracks to mono, for about 8 songs. Not fun. And not as easy nor quick as it sounds. But I finished it for 2 songs last night, and wrote a verse and a half. The full-length verse is for a new song that might really surprise my fans, and it's on one of Ron's beats! It's not something crazily out of the ordinary, just not my usual style of beat or content. Enough about that until later, sinister laugh
- Friday I caught food poisoning offa dumb decision. PSA: just cuz you eating with white folks don't mean eat the pork like they reccommend. Baby don't do it! (werd to Freeway), get it cooked like you know it should be. I regurgitated my heart and soul that night! Woke up all stiff, achy, cold and shit. I'm still battling whatever viral stragglers is biting my cells' asses. Missed out on ice-skating Saturday night, and then a friend called about going out drinking. Nope couldn't do that either! So when I'm sick is when all the fun shit happens, ain't this bout a bitch.
- For some reason I feel like yesterday's productivity points to my being close to finished with TPRH. I may send a possible single off for early mastering. Then start pushing that to college radio stations and blogs and mixtapes. Gotta decide what the single will be first tho.
- Netflix may beat my DVR for being my most sacred form of media. I ain't even played my xbox in 2 weeks. Poor thing only gets used to play dvds.
- And I leave you jokers with a song, referenced earlier. Both rappers did their thing, but really listen to Scarface's verse. It's simple but poignant, sorry I couldn't find an embeddable version

Well, I have to admit, sp far I'm against the idea of you guys combining your blogs. First of all, Ron's shits be mad long already. And I fear they'll lose the idiosyncrasies that make me want to read them in the first place one their together. I just don't like the idea.

Hey just stopping by. Thanks for checking in and commenting. On your recording. You might want to dry recording the vocals dry in mono and then adding a reverb/gate to the vocal and panning left and right. A false stereo if I remember my tricks well enough. Ish, will work and you will get a cool sounding vocal. Let me know how it works out.

ReplyDeleteBobbi: We would still have individual posts, they'd just be on one blog on one website. So we wouldn't lose the individuality, we'd gain contrast. You'd see me and Ron's differences all in one website. And it's a better idea for promotion of The Union. As for his long posts, I don't get what that has to do with anything. His shits do be jai long tho
We actively promote our blogs, we drive traffic to these joints. Then once cats is here, they see that we post on a regular basis. You post once in a blue moon. Cats will stop paying attention if you post sporadically. They'll figure that you quit, or they just get bored with you. Either way they stop checkin for you.
Not to mention this shit right here is how we eat nigga! This is how we live out here on these streets! These blogs gotta work or it's back to vacuuming Janice's living room. And we must protect this house!
As for comments, sometimes cats read a post and that's all they do. They don't always have something to say, or time to say it. That's why I got them reaction buttons under my posts, even know I gotta beg lurkers to use em
